Hi!

I am 3D Dre
Here you'll find my portfolio that contains a collection of things that I've built in 3D during my 3D-studies.

Please note that I am not a professional 3D artist who needs to appeal to clients, so my portfolio contains a lot more than only my best work. Hopefully, it should show, at some point, how my work has improved and evolved over time. I'm working hard to learn as much about 3D and Blender as my brain can handle.

Secretly, I sometimes dream that one day I will have what it takes and become a professional 3D artist.
The items above are just a random collection. Click on the button below to see an overview of all the other portfolio content.

How I overcame my hardware limitations for rendering in Blender.

I feel like I’ve discovered a holy grail of some sorts. My computer is not a very recent one. It’s a Core i7, but from an early generation, and it has 32 gigs of RAM. And most importantly for rendering, it has an Nvidia Titan X graphics card. This card is a couple of years […]

Update on a previous post

I finally finished a new render for the Birkenhof animation. It took about three nights of rendering. In case you’ve already […]

About 3D Dre

Introducing myself
My name is André. Many friends call me Dre. I live in the Netherlands, and I've been roaming the earth for approximately four decades now. With each decade, I become more nostalgic to the past, specifically the nineties. I'm an addict in recovery from an addiction to World of Warcraft. I've been clean since September 2019.
During the summer of 2021 I purchased a Virtual Reality set and this caused me to re-discover my fascination for 3D. I wanted to build my own world in 3D, and that's how I discovered Blender. Learning 3D and Blender in particular has become a very interesting journey for me, and I've learned so incredibly much since then, and I'm still eager to learn a lot more, since there's so much more to learn. Speaking of learning, if you want to learn more about me, you can do so here, since this introduction was already too much for many readers.
